6 years we gave this city, and it was a good run, but now we are heading back to small town Wisconsin where we can raise our country loving boy surrounded by family and friends. It wasn’t an easy decision and it isn’t to “improve” our careers but it certainly is the right decision.
What and whom we are leaving behind is also not easy. The luxuries of Lake Country will no longer exist and trips to the nearest “big city” will become our reality. But as we reflect back on the last six years we can’t help but be thankful for the life God has given us.
To our faith foundations friends. Thank you for your love, support, kindness, and friendship over the years. You helped pick us up when we were hurting the most. We will never forget the moment we were anointed with oil in the stairway! It was one of the most powerful moments of my life. The power of prayer was felt and answered. Your friendships will be missed but not forgotten.
To my bible study ladies- Thank you for your countless hours of devotion, prayer and study time, especially in those hard years for us. Digging into the bible with you ladies is just what I needed right when I needed it the most. Our friendships grew deep and we created lasting memories. May the Lord bless each and everyone of you.
To the administrators and staff at PHS- Thank you for taking a chance on JJ and letting him explore what teaching can look like. Thank you for letting him think outside of the box. Sorry he wasn’t the most social person in the world– it is not you– it’s him! Sorry if we missed out on any social events because he said no, I would have said yes but he is an introvert through and through, unless you are talking to him about Insight or the like!
To the friends, family and neighbors we leave behind. We aren’t leaving you, we are simply moving to where our hearts belong. And I can’t wait to share with you what the first few weeks have been like!!!
To our new neighbors, we can’t wait to be a part of your community. Well, we have been in the paper twice already — but you just wait– you will see more of us. We can’t wait to help those in need and expand our mission field to Mauston, Wisconsin. Ready or not Mauston, here come the Heesch’s (well, more of them anyways).
